Rockies 6, Phillies 2: Ryan McMahon returns to lift the Rockies to their first home victory

The Colorado Rockies earned their first 2019 win at Coors Field on Thursday, defeating the Phillies 6-2. Rockies pitching managed to limit the vaunted Philadelphia offense to two runs on five hits, while their so-far-not-so-great offense produced six runs on 11 hits. Kyle Freeland tossed six shutout innings but it was Ryan McMahon’s two home runs and five RBI that really carried the day.

The Rockies activated David Dahl and Ryan McMahon from the IL before the game. Dahl, who was the best hitter on the club before he got hurt, went 1-for-3 with a walk and run scored and is now hitting .
