Rockies 6, Diamondbacks 4: McMahon and Gray lead the way

The Rockies offense beat the D-backs offense, out hitting the Snakes 10-14 en route to their 6-4 victory. This victory marked their seventh straight against the D-backs, which ties a club record set in 2004.

After pitching 13 of an inning in relief on Sunday, Jon Gray ended the night with a howling victory — pushing his record to 7-5 in 15 starts. Gray pitched six innings and gave up six hits, but only two crossed home plate (one earned). 55 of his 83 pitches were strikes. In comparison, Zack Greinke threw 58 of his 86 pitches for strikes but he gave up 11 hits and five earned runs, including a two-run homer to Daniel Murphy in the fourth.
