Jon Gray and the Rockies bullpen helped get the team back to its winning ways on Monday night by shutting out the Giants 2-0. The win brings the Rockies to 41-37 and into sole possession of the second wild card spot.
It would be unfair to say Jon Gray has had a bad season, especially after the roller coaster that was 2018, but there haven’t been many standout performances. But on Monday night by the Bay he assuredly put up one of his best starts of the season, throwing six shutout innings, allowing just four hits, two walks, and striking out six.
