Rockies 1, Giants 0: Tyler Anderson excellent as Colorado sweeps San Francisco

Tyler Anderson was dominant in the Rockies 1-0 win against the Giants Wednesday night. Giants pitcher Andrew Suárez was nearly as dominant, but he allowed a gigantic solo home run to Chris Iannetta in the seventh. Given Anderson’s start, that was all the Rockies needed to win the game, complete the sweep, and put the Rockies back above .500 at 44-43.

First pitch strikes, excellent command, and efficient outs pretty much characterized Anderson’s night. That translated to two hits and two walks in eight shutout innings while striking out nine.
