For the eighth time in 2025, the Colorado Rockies were shut out as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated them 2-0 to complete the four-game sweep. It was the first time that the Phillies have completed a four-game sweep at Coors Field. The Phillies outscored the Rockies 27-12 and had 50 hits in the series, the most this season.
However, it was a stellar pitching duel between Germán Márquez and Ranger Suárez, but the Colorado offense couldn’t capitalize on their few opportunities, and the Rockies have now fallen to 8-42.
The Rockies now have the worst 50-game start in the modern era and only the 1895 Louisville Colonels have had a worse 50-game start (7-43) in big league history.
