DENVER -- On a day centered around Jon Gray's Major League debut, Rockies first basemen Kyle Parker made sure to get in on the firsts as well.
On the second pitch of the sixth inning, Parker clubbed his first career Major League home run off Seattle reliever Mayckol Guaipe. The long ball, which was projected by Statcast™ to land 428 away, was crushed to right-center and trimmed Colorado's deficit to 5-4.
Parker, who the Rockies selected 26th overall in the 2010 Draft out of Clemson, was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday after outfielder Corey Dickerson was placed on the 15-day disabled list.
