In the history of Major League Baseball, there are very few players who are famous for being bad. Many are famous for making a crucial mistake at the worst possible moment (Merkle, Buckner). Others are famous for a hilarious mental lapse (Canseco, Lyons). Still others are notable for an inexplicable loss of their control (Sax, Blass, Ankiel, Matzek).
