Larry Walker going into Hall of Fame representing Rockies, not Expos

Larry Walker played 1,170 games wearing a Rockies uniform vs. 674 in a Montreal Expos uniform. He hit 258 home runs for Colorado vs. 99 for Montreal.

So it would seem to be a no-brainer that Walker’s Hall of Fame plaque in Cooperstown will feature Rockies cap, not an Expos cap. But for Walker, it was not an easy decision.

“It’s a hard decision, being a Canadian,” Walker said Wednesday at a news conference in New York, where he and former Yankees star Derek Jeter talked about being elected into the Hall of Fame on Tuesday.

Ultimately, however, Walker told Hall officials that he would go in representing the Rockies, saying, “Colorado was where the majority of my damage was done.
