Kyle Freeland delivers solid start; David Dahl homers again in Rockies’ walk-off

Left-hander Kyle Freeland’s top priority this spring was to command his fastball and eliminate walks. As the Cactus League heads toward the home stretch, the Denver native is in command of those priorities. He pitched 4 u2154 innings Tuesday, walking none and striking out a spring-high five. He allowed two runs on six hits, but settled down after the second inning to finish his longest start of the spring.

“Cutting the walks was my main focus, coming from last season into this season,” said Freeland, who credited bullpen coach Darren Holmes for slowing down his delivery after the second inning.
