Kickin’ it with Kiz: Would anything less than a championship make Nolan Arenado a $260 million mistake for the Rockies?

At $260 million, Nolan Arenado’s contract averages out to $8 per game for every seat sold at Coors Field over the next eight years. If the Rockies don’t win a World Series, it will be the biggest mistake in franchise history.

B.K., doing the math

Kiz: The median household income in Colorado is a little over $69,000 per year. Arenado will make more than $200,000 per game. Beats working, don’t you think? But I would rather see $8 of every ticket I buy at Coors Field go to Arenado than pay $8 for a beer at the ballpark.
