Keeler: Charlie Blackmon says these Rockies are different. Opening day said otherwise.

Like many wise Rockies fans, Pam Renney of Evergreen turned up to Coors Field with faith in the weather and less for the product.

“I think they’ve gotten one good player,” said Renney, a baseball lifer who wore a pinstriped Raimel Tapia jersey in homage to that Blake Street rite of passage, a favorite traded away.

“But I don’t think anything else has changed.”

That one good player being … Kris Bryant?

“Yeah,” she replied, her voice raising with incredulity.

“And they said that was all we needed to win.
