Jeff Bridich steps down as Rockies General Manager

After 17 years with in the Rockies organization, including the last seven as general manager, Jeff Bridich has resigned his post with the Rockies. The announcement came as a bit of a surprise after Bridich traded away star third baseman Nolan Arenado earlier this offseason. No immediate successor was named but the club did announce that Greg Feasel has been promoted from Vice President and COO over the business side of the club to Team President, now in charge of baseball operations.

According to a press release from the team, Feasel and owner Dick Monfort will soon announce an interim GM to take Bridich’s place until the end of the season, at which point the club will hire someone in a more permanent role.
