Jordan Lyles scattered four hits and one run over seven innings on Sunday his second winning decision with the Isotopes, a 6-2 victory over the Sacramento River Cats.
Left-fielder Stephen Cardullo and No. 19 PuRP Ryan Casteel carried the Isotopes, both hitting home runs off Sacramento starter Chris Heston. The Isotopes' offense was helped by a wild pitch and an error in the ninth to push their lead to four runs and seal the game for Scott Oberg to close out the ninth.
The Isotopes improved to 25-32 with the victory, fighting through a tough last 30 days where the team has gone 9-19 and fallen to last place in their division.
