Isotopes’ third baseman Josh Fuentes named 2018 Pacific Coast League MVP

Isotopes third baseman Josh Fuentes was named the 2018 Pacific Coast League Most Valuable Player on Friday morning, capping his first season with Albuquerque which also saw him earn an All-PCL selection, PCL Rookie of the Year and the all-star game MVP.

Fuentes led the league in hits (171) and total bases (270) while ranking second in RBIs (93), triples (12), extra-base hits (59) and runs scored (88). Nolan Arenado’s cousin also led the league in defensive fielding percentage at the hot corner with a .
