This is a story in two parts, and they both revolve around Colorado Rockies’ tenured third baseman Ryan McMahon.
First, this is the latest and greatest version of the “RyMac is raking” annual article. Strong first-halves are not a rare occurrence for McMahon – especially in May where he sports a lifetime 111 tOPS+ and highwater .801 OPS. But this year the hot corner stalwart has exceeded all previous benchmarks and has clearly established himself as one of the best in the league at the position in 2024.
