In a move that’s been expected for a number of years, Major League Baseball has agreed to the universal designated hitter, commissioner Rob Manfred announced on Thursday. While nothing is official until an agreement with the MLB Players Association is reached, the universal DH is expected to be included in a new collective bargaining agreement.
