In one of the most exciting parts of All-Star Week, the 39th annual All-Star Derby will take place tonight at Truist Park in Atlanta.
The field is loaded with eight talented sluggers who are all participating in their first Derby, meaning a new home run king will be crowned. The event is missing famed HR hitters Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Kyle Schwarber or two-time Derby champ Pete Alonso, but does have MLB-leading HR slugger Cal Raleigh. Raleigh, a switch hitter who has 38 bombs on the season, will look to be the first catcher to ever win the Derby and, to add extra excitement, said he will hit from both sides of the plate in the contest.
