San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner, who is in Colorado with team before a series with the Rockies, has been placed on the disabled list for the first time in his career.
The injuries, described by the MLB’s official Twitter account, were bruised ribs and a shoulder sprain sustained during a “dirt bike accident.”
According to the Mercury News, Bumgarner was injured on Thursday during the team’s off-day in Colorado.
