Márquez, 28, is currently on the 60-day injured list after undergoing Tommy John surgery back in May, having pitched just 20 innings across four starts this season and posting a 4.95 ERA with 17 strikeouts and three walks. Márquez’s future with the team was unclear due to the injury as he was in the final year of the five-year $43 million contract he signed with the club in 2019, and had a 2024 team option for $16 million with a $2.
