Federal judge rules MLB All-Star Game can stay in Denver

A federal judge ruled Thursday that next month’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game can stay in Denver, rejecting a conservative business group’s lawsuit that it must be played in the Atlanta suburbs as originally planned.

U.S. District Court Judge Valerie E. Caproni declined to issue a preliminary injunction that would have forced MLB to play the July 13 game in Georgia.

In early April, MLB announced the game would move to Denver rather than Georgia in response to the southern state’s new voting law that Republicans believe will improve election integrity but Democrats consider voter suppression.

On May 31, Job Creators Network filed a federal lawsuit in New York City, asking for the injunction.
