As a corollary to Justin’s Rockpile yesterday in which we welcomed the Fresno Grizzlies to the Rockies system, today we need to pay a reluctant goodbye to the Asheville Tourists. (By the way, absolutely buy a Fresno hat: this one)
Like just about anyone who has ever visited, Asheville holds a special place in my heart. I got the opportunity to see a Tourists game when I went back in 2015 and it remains one of my favorite pro baseball viewing experiences (and one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever published).
