Coming off the buzz of Wednesday’s sweep of San Francisco which featured Trevor Story‘s historic three-dinger night, Coors Field certainly wasn’t lacking in energy for Friday’s series opener against fellow National League West contender Los Angeles.
What was lacking was timely production out of the Colorado bats as the Rockies fell to the Dodgers 4-2 in front of a 41,547 fans. Colorado finished the night 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position, with ten men left on base.
The deciding Dodger runs came during a contentious fifth inning in which manager Bud Black was ejected for the second time this season.
