Dahl sits out with bruised shin, sore calf

DENVER -- Rockies outfielder David Dahl came out with a bruised left shin and left calf soreness after Monday night's shin-to-shin collision with Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford.

Gerardo Parra and Carlos Gonzalez were in the lineup Tuesday as manager Bud Black continued his juggling of three left-handed-hitting corner outfielders. While Dahl, with his lower leg heavily wrapped, said he was fine, Black said precaution was part of the reason Dahl didn't start. Also, Parra entered 13-for-33 with two homers against Giants starter Jeff Samardzija, which Black noted, and Gonzalez was 6-for-8 in the previous two games.
