The Colorado Rockies and Seattle Mariners met for a series finale getaway day Wednesday afternoon game at Coors Field.
The Colorado Rockies won on a two-run, bottom of the eleventh inning bomb from catcher Michael McKenry on Wednesday afternoon, enjoying a walk-off victory over the Seattle Mariners to salvage one game in the three-game series at Coors Field.
The Seattle Mariners jumped on the board first, after Rockies’ starter Chris Rusin had thrown three scoreless innings against the hard-hitting club. In the top of the fourth, the Mariners pushed three runs across the board thanks to RBI singles from Robinson Cano and Austin Jackson, and then an RBI double from starting pitcher Taijuan Walker — the second straight game in which a Rockies pitcher allowed an RBI double to the opposing starter.
