Carlos Gonzalez remembers when opponents dreaded coming into the house of horrors that was Coors Field.
“It was fun. It was loud,” Gonzalez recalled. “You would see lots of people in the stands late in the games. Back then, there would still be fans there in the ninth inning, because they knew we might do something special. It was crazy.”
LoDo magic, though, appears to have disappeared into the mile-high air.
Gonzalez made his Rockies debut in 2009 when the team pulled a dramatic about face after a slow start to win 92 games and make it to the playoffs.
