Prior to the Rockies taking on the St. Louis Cardinals in the second game of a three-game series at Busch Stadium on Tuesday, Colorado recalled right-handed pitcher Carlos Estévez from Triple-A Albuquerque. To make room on the roster, the Rockies optioned right-handed pitcher Jairo Díaz to Triple-A.
This will be the fifth time that Estevez has been on Colorado’s Major League roster, this season, including a very brief stint as Colorado’s 26th man for a double-header against the Minnesota Twins on May 18. The 24-year-old Estevez is 4-0 on the season but has an 8.
