On his latest Rockie Road podcast, our own Jake Shapiro has audio of Story’s massive three home runs, including his 505-foot bomb that was the longest in the history of the Colorado Rockies, Coors Field and Statcast. The effort at the plate earned Story plenty of national attention, including a spot on ESPN with Scott Van Pelt. It also helped the Rockies stay undefeated in September.
Of course, Colorado outfielder Carlos Gonzalez had some things to offer about Story’s night after the game, including some one-liners you won’t want to miss.
Lost in some of the shuffle of Story’s three home run night is the fact that he also topped the 30-homer mark for the season and has a very realistic chance of becoming a member of the 30-30 club.
