Colorado Rockies place Corey Dickerson on 15-day DL, recall Ben Paulsen from Triple-A

Colorado Rockies outfielder Corey Dickerson, who is dealing with plantar fasciitis, will be placed on the 15-day disabled list before the team's game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday, according to MLB.com's Thomas Harding.

The Rockies will recall first baseman/outfielder Ben Paulsen from Triple-A Albuquerque to take Dickerson's spot on the 25-man roster.

Dickerson has been bothered by the foot condition since mid-April. Despite that, he's managed a .306/.342/.523 line -- good for a 119 OPS+ -- in 1217 plate appearances. The injury seems to have affected Dickerson more in the field; already rated as a below-average defender, the 25-year-old left fielder has cost the Rockies a couple of runs on defense, per Baseball Info Solutions' Defensive Runs Saved.
