Rockies catcher Ryan Hanigan was once again not in the starting lineup for the Rockies on Saturday. The veteran catcher was scratched from Friday’s lineup due to left trapezius muscle tightness. Colorado manager Bud Black said after the game that the injury was not serious and Hanigan did take swings in the batting cage before Saturday’s game.
Rosscup joins Rockies
Zac Rosscup made his first appearance inside the Colorado locker room before Saturday’s game. Acquired in a trade with the Chicago Cubs in exchange for Matt Carasiti, Rosscup gives Colorado another left-handed option in the bullpen.
