Colorado Rockies minor league news: Schaeffer promoted to Albuquerque manager to replace Glenallen Hill

After just being seven years removed from last playing in the Colorado Rockies organization in 2012, the Colorado Rockies announced that Warren Schaeffer will be the new manager for the Albuquerque Isotopes in 2020.

Since his retirement as a player, Schaeffer, 34, has been a coach or manager in the Rockies organization ever since. He has spent the last five seasons as a manager, with the last two being at Double-A Hartford and the previous three in Single-A Asheville.

In those two seasons, the Yard Goats went 138-138. Overall, he has managerial record of 344-347 (.498 winning percentage).
