Tyler Matzek managed a scoreless inning of relief for the Albuquerque Isotopes in his first game back.
For the first time since June 24th, Tyler Matzek pitched in a live baseball game, an eighth inning appearance against the Fresno Grizzlies for the Isotopes. Matzek walked the first two batters he faced, struck out the following two, walked another to load the bases and induced a pop up to escape the jam. There is still much to be seen from the struggling young left-hander, but Glenallen Hill is encouraged by some good signs. Matzek will pitch out of the bullpen for the remainder of the season in Albuquerque.
