On MLB Network Radio on Tuesday morning, Colorado Rockies manager Bud Black was asked for an update on the thumb injury suffered by Chris Owings.
Owings was placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday with a left thumb sprain. Alan Trejo was called up from the taxi squad to make his Major League debut in Owings’ place as the Rockies suffered a three-game sweep in San Francisco at the hands of the Giants.
