The rest is history. DJ LeMahieu hits a home run to deep left-center field off the Giants’ Sam Dyson as the Colorado Rockies hold on to win 9-8.
The win propels the Rockies to a 52-30 record in the second half as they are able to reach the NLDS after beating the Chicago Cubs in the Wild Card game.
This season’s version of the Rockies is frantically looking for such a victory that could also spring board them to the playoffs. Monday’s night game had all the makings for such a win. Except, it didn’t happen.
