The Colorado Rockies (9-47) have played some more competitive games as of late, but it hasn’t exactly translated into wins, as they have lost 21 consecutive series dating back to 2024. Following a much-needed off day on Thursday, the Rockies now head to Queens to face off against the New York Mets (34-22).
Kyle Freeland (0-7, 5.86 ERA) will take the mound after facing the other New York team last weekend at Coors Field. In his previous start, he lasted just 4 2⁄3 innings, giving up four earned runs, eight runs in total, on nine hits with three walks and three strikeouts.
