Happy Mother's Day!
Saturday was a forgettable game as the Colorado Rockies (6-33) lost by three touchdowns to the San Diego Padres (25-13), but perhaps that embarrassment will be enough to inspire them in the series finale on Sunday.
Unfortunately, it has to start on the mound, and the Rockies have not had good luck with the rotation lately. Hit hardest with the struggles has been Germán Márquez (0-6, 9.90 ERA), who makes the start on Sunday. After tossing six scoreless innings against the Philadelphia Phillies in his first start, Márquez has allowed four or more runs in every start since, including five or more runs in each of his last five starts.
