The Rockies held their own in the desert last night, tied 3-3 when Kyle Freeland left with an unfortunate groin injury. However, the wheels fell off at the hands of Bryan Shaw. The D-backs put up a five spot in the sixth inning and the Rockies weren’t able to recover. They rallied in the seventh and the ninth, but fell by just one run. Tim Melville will take the mound today against ASU product Mike Leake. In three games with the Snakes, Leake has a 0-1 record with a 7.71 ERA (4.64 season ERA).
