It’s been a fun and exciting series against the Miami Marlins at home, with the starting pitching as good as ever and the offense catching fire. After a 7-4 victory over the Fish last night, one of baseball’s best teams at home in the Colorado Rockies are gunning to bust out the brooms for the series sweep.
The resurgent Kyle Freeland is on the mound for the Rockies in his second August start. His last time out, Freeland pitched five innings of two-run baseball on four hits with five strikeouts. He impressively finished the fifth inning after taking a scorching comebacker off his foot, but did not come back out for the sixth due to an abundance of caution.
