Selfishly, since I will be making two long road trips in the next few weeks to watch the Colorado Rockies play, I must refuse to jump until my trips are over despite the water rushing in.
That said, I am going to do something I am not comfortable doing and try to be the voice of optimism. Even with the horrid play, there are some reasons to still cling onto for hope.
First and foremost, the Rockies are still only a handful of games back of the final Wild Card spot. Believe it or not, but they are one hot streak away from being right where they want to be heading into the latter months of the season.
