Colorado Rockies, Bud Black agree to 3-year extension

This morning, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reported that the Colorado Rockies and manager Bud Black have agreed to a 3-year extension through the 2022 season. Rockies general manager Jeff Bridich confirmed the story this morning.

Black, 61, In his two seasons as Rockies manager, he is 178-147 (.548), which is the best winning percentage in franchise history. Overall, his managerial record is 827-860 (.490) between his two seasons in Denver and part of nine seasons in San Diego.

Black is the only manager in Rockies franchise history to lead the team to back-to-back playoff appearances (2017 and 2018).
