In all, five of Colorado’s eight picks from Friday’s Day 2 of the MLB Draft were position players, including their first four selections of the day.
Putting the first two days of the draft together, the Colorado Rockies tabbed nine college players, including six pitchers. Additionally, Colorado picked two high schoolers, including fourth overall pick Riley Pint on Friday night.
There are still plenty more selections for Colorado on Saturday as MLB’s annual amateur draft finishes up with rounds 11 through 40.

Garret Hampson, SS
A junior from Long Beach State University, Hampson was drafted with the 81st overall pick.
