The Colorado Rockies announced Thursday that they have acquired right-handed pitcher Ashton Goudeau from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for cash. The Reds had designated Goudeau for assignment earlier this week.
The trade is not a big trade on the surface but it is a big trade for the Colorado Rockies for two different reasons.
It further shows that the Colorado Rockies have a lot of guys that they use because they know them and are comfortable with them
In this era of Rockies baseball, there have been a few “organization players” that the Rockies have had, let go of, and they return.
