With Zach Agnos on the bereavement list, Seth Halvorsen served as the closer in the ninth. Throwing triple-digit heat, Halvorsen forced a foul popout and a flyout to left. With Heriberto Hernandez as the Miami’s last hope, he connected on a slider a sent a ball to deep center field, giving Rockies fans that familiar sense of dread of a win slipping away.
