Through the Easter holiday weekend, the Colorado Rockies own the worst record in baseball and a sub-Mendoza winning percentage in the young 2025 season. The franchise didn’t realistically have high expectations for this season, so that needs to be made clear up front. They also didn’t expect to be the worst team in baseball, however.
So, for an organization that is ineligible for a lottery draft pick and can pick no higher than 10th overall in 2026 due to placing in the lottery the past three seasons, some sifting is required to find a positive outlook.
