Bud Black, Rockies players not worried about Nolan Arenado’s rift with GM Jeff Bridich

The “big something” of the Rockies’ offseason has been the discord between star third baseman Nolan Arenado and general manager Jeff Bridich. But according to manager Bud Black, as well as some of the team’s key players, it’s much ado about nothing.

Saturday, at the club’s annual Rockiesfest at Coors Field, Black was asked if he was going to address the Arenado controversy with the team.

“I don’t think so,” Black said. “Players are wired to play. … I’m sure they have all been around instances when things have been not smooth, but players focus on playing.
