Asheville Tourists' first baseman Brian Mundell is tearing the cover off the ball

There was a full slate of action on Monday night in the Colorado Rockies' farm system, with their four full season affiliates going 2-2 on the night. One of the two winners were the Low-A Asheville Tourists who escaped with a 3-2 win in 12 innings to climb over .500 on the season. The win was aided in large part by under-the-radar prospect Brian Mundell.

Mundell, selected in the seventh round of last year's draft out of Cal Poly, went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a walk to raise his season slash line to .378/.428/.580. He hasn't shown a ton of home run power (he has just three on the year), but already has 18 doubles in just 159 plate appearances.
