SAN FRANCISCO — When Wade Davis struck out Nick Hundley to end Sunday’s game, and the Rockies lined up for postgame handshakes, it looked like business as usual.
But it was hardly that.
Make no mistake about it, the Rockies’ 3-2 win over the Giants at AT&T Park was a big deal. With just 13 games remaining, the Rockies moved back into a temporary tie for first place in the National League West with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The red-hot Dodgers were scheduled to play at St. Louis Sunday night, seeking to complete a four-game sweep.
