NEW YORK — Fracas. Hubbub. Brouhaha. Donnybrook. Kerfuffle.

Well, not quite. But the benches did empty in the eighth inning of the Rockies’ 5-1 victory over the Mets Friday night at Citi Field.

There were no punches thrown and no ejections. Afterward, there were plenty of denials and soothing of the waters, but it was difficult to say how veiled the words were.

— Colorado’s David Dahl, now batting .338, crushed a two-run home run off reliever Drew Gagnon into the second deck in left field.
