Adam Ottavino is going home.
The former Rockies relief pitcher has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $27 million deal to join the New York Yankees bullpen.
Ottavino, who was born and raised in Brooklyn and lives in Manhattan, was considered one of the best right-handed relievers on the free-agent market. ESPN’s Jeff Passan first reported the details of Ottavino’s deal.
Ottavino, 33, is coming off the best season of his career. He posted a 2.43 ERA and struck out 112 batters over 77 u2154 innings for an average of 13 strikeouts per nine frames. The 112 strikeouts set a franchise record for a Rockies reliever.
