COMMERCE CITY — With four regular season games left, the Rapids remain in the thick of the battle for the MLS Supporters’ Shield, which goes to the team that finishes with the league’s best regular season record. Having twice as many games to play as the other teams in the running helps their cause, but that also means their depth will be tested.
Their depth was bolstered in August when they acquired Sebastien Le Toux for the stretch run in a trade with the Philadelphia Union. Le Toux has added veteran leadership, and he scored his first goal for the Rapids last week.
