With just two months of the 2016 regular season to go, the six Western Conference teams currently in playoff positions have single-digit games remaining.
The Rapids stand on 43 points from 25 games, five points behind leaders FC Dallas, though with two games in hand. Colorado has played less than any of the teams in the West but their results of late - with just two wins from the last 10 games - suggest a late-season spark is required.
